Casa Barthel Bed and View is an enchanting property that has been recently restored and turned in 7 beautiful independent houses. The structure is just 15 minutes’ drive from Florence city centre, one hour from Siena and not far from the heart of the Chianti wine region. It is located in a quite area in the countryside with olive trees and a wonderful view over the Florentine hills.
Each house has a country chic-style furnishing with antique objects that Family Barthel ‘hunts’ down, transforms and collects.
In fact each of the casaBARTHEL cottages has one of their favorite collections.

The property has a swimming pool, a tennis court and a kitchen garden with barbeque facility and a wood burning oven.
The owners live at Casa Barthel still today, sharing with guests their love for the country, their olive oil, good food and the Italian family life.


The Treehouse, built on a tree, a romantic cottage with a stunning view over the Florentine hills: king size bedroom with fire place and air-conditioning, kitchenette, bathroom with large shower, terrace in the pine trees

The Painterhouse, right next to the courtyard that watches over a crazy combination of paintings, lithographs and watercolors and The Cinemahouse with a beautifully contrasting between the stone walls and a colorful collection of movie posters, including a giant ‘Blues Brothers’ playbill : every house has 1 double-bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen/living-room, a private garden

The Toyhouse owes its name to a fantastic collection of small kitchen toys found in the last fifty years, from all over the world: living room/dining room with fire place, king size bedroom, twin bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with shower, private garden

The Coffehouse, is proudly filled with Amos Kennedy posters from Alabama: an artist with a naughty sense of humor and sense of justice: living room with queen size bed, kitchen/dining room, bathroom with large shower, private garden

The Ceramichouse takes its name from the hand-made eighteen century tiles hanging on the walls and hailing from southern Italy:y): Living room with queen size sofa bed, Kitchen/dining room, bathroom with large shower, Private garden

The Farmershouse displays a 1930s agriculture manual from the Parisian flea market ‘Marche’ aux puces’e: 1 double bedroom with a king size bed, kitchen/dining room, bathroom with large shower, private garden

The Coffehouse, the Ceramichouse, and the Farmershouse can be connected and can accommodate 6 people (2 sofabed and a double bedroom) or 4 people and in this case a house can be used as living room.

Each house can be rented separately, or guest can rent all the property exclusively. The Casa Barthel bed & view can accommodate 16 people, but on request there are 4 additional double bedrooms (3 bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a bedroom with a private bathroom) available in the Villa where the owners live. BY CAR
From Florence take the highway and follow the directions Rome (South).
Exit at Firenze Impruneta at the crossroads turn to the left and follow direction ‘Firenze’ (Florence). Go straight and at the Galluzzo village square turn to the left at the light.
At the stop you will see the Galluzzo church in front of you, turn left on Via Volterrana.
Keep going straight, pass the river and climb the hill.
At the end of the turns when the road is still slopped, turn on the left at the cypress tree with the 103 attached number.
At the end of the white road ring the bell at the green gate and the owner will welcome you.


BY TRAIN
Take a train to Florence Santa Maria Novella
Then you have 2 options:
1. Take a taxi to Via Volterrana 103
About 10Km, equal to 20 minutes depending on traffic.
2. Take the bus N.36 or 37 from Santa Maria Novella square to Galluzzo
About 1.5 Km, equal to 5 minutes.
Call the owner and they will come and pick you up.

BY AIRPLAIN

1. Take a taxi to Via Volterrana 103
About 15 Km, equal to 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
