Podere Monti is a XVIth century farmhouse nestled between woods and olive groves.
It has been turned into a residence of refined charm that retains its atmosphere of informal welcome.
The guest rooms are few but exquisitely furnished; each one has its own unique character and is named after one of the many artists who contributed to the rich cultural legacy of Montepulciano.

Podere Monti offers a magnificent view of the vineyards and olive groves of Montepulciano.
The historic farmhouse has been beautifully restored by the owners, who have furnished it with traditional antiques and every possible comfort.
It provides lodging for at least 14 persons in 7 guest rooms. The living quarters are on two floors and there’s plenty of room, both indoors and out, for guests to take advantage of Tuscany in all seasons.
There are two superior suites of 60 sq metres (645 sq feet), two junior suites of 35 sq metres (375 sq feet), and three double rooms of 30 sq metres (325 sq feet).
All rooms and suites have their own private bathroom and are furnished with superior, king-size beds. A bright, modern kitchen opens through an archway into an equally bright and attractive dining room.
Just off the the dining room there’s a pergola that beckons guests outdoors to savour nature and the open air.
The farmhouse also has a cosy library with a fireplace on the upper floor, a second sitting room in which to relax, and a fully equipped laundry room.

A cook is available to prepare sumptuous meals for guests and the wine cellar contains a selection of the finest wines of Montepulciano.

Podere Monti provides a high quality Bed & Breakfast service in the spirit and atmosphere of a private home.
The farmhouse has been meticulously restored and furnished with every comfort.
There are two floors of living quarters and plenty of space both inside and out.
Guests can choose to relax in the shade of oak and cypress trees in the large garden surrounding the house, or they can bask in the glorious Tuscan sun beside the swimming pool, which is also equipped with hydromassage jets.
The beauty of the farmhouse, the quality of the furnishings, the warmth and hospitality of the owners and the tranquillity of the surroundings combine to make Podere Monti an exceptional agriturismo where guests can savour the art of living well naturally.
The large garden at Podere Monti, nestled in the woods and olive groves of the farm, is in perfect harmony with its surroundings.
There are flowering shrubs throughout the season, the green is studded with cypress, broom, rose and lilac, and aromatic herbs perfume the air.
Guests can enjoy this wonderful garden from the shade of an oak or elm tree, while stretched out on the grass, or comfortably seated under the cool wisteria arbour. Podere Monti's splendid pool is placed in the sunniest, most open spot on the property. While relaxing in the solarium, guests can admire the panoramic view of the valley below and catch a tantalizing glimpse of the village of Montepulciano. To let yourself be pampered by a hydromassage, or to laze about on the handcrafted lounge chairs by the pool while enjoying the gentle scents of lavender and the surrounding woods, is the ideal way to relax in an atmosphere that is typically tuscan.

Perched on a hill and nestled between woods, olive groves and a splendid countryside, Podere Monti is only 500 metres (roughly a third of a mile) from Sant Albino di Montepulciano in the heart of southern Tuscany.
It’s an excellent location from which to explore all of central Italy. The village of Montepulciano is only five minutes away by car and the nearest exit from the highway is only 15 minutes away.
Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Cortona, Orvieto, Arezzo, San Gimignano – all are only an hour away by car.
Even Florence and Rome can be easily reached from here by car or train.

Appetizers: Toasted bread with olive oil and small Tuscan beans, crostini with chicken livers, crostoni with lardo and chestnut honey, ricotta cheese from Pienza wrapped in savoy cabbage leaves, or individual leek and bacon moulds.
First Course: La pappa al pomodoro (a passato of tomatoes), Il bordatino (a delicate, chickpea soup), pici (Tuscan spaghetti) with duck sauce, or tortelli filled with pecorino cheese and served with yellow pepper sauce.
Second Course: Roast pork in a bread crust, lamb with black olives, or beef cooked in Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Dessert: Tiramisu, marscapone mousse with mint served over strawberries, ricotta mousse with plum compote, or ricotta souffle with peach sauce.
